My savegames stopped loading in act 2 altogether, it loads the game fine but then when I load my saves in act 2 they all hang at 75 to 80% completion and just stay there forever. I can alt f4 out but disabling mods etc none of it seems to fix it, I've tried several different saves now and redownloading the mods etc nothing seems to fix it. There are a couple fixes, though. In the DKS or D2:DC releases, in the Graphics options check the 'Show Advanced options' box, then scroll down to the bottom, and just above the FPS Cap slider, enable Lockstep Mode. That isn't available in the original Ego Draconis release, but it may help to enable 'Single-Core Optimized'.
For Divinity II: Ego Draconis on the Xbox 360, a GameFAQs Q&A question titled 'Loading screen stuck at cutscene, any fix?' Try the following settings: Go to settings/options, choose Display/Graphics and open 'advanced'. Scroll down to the bottom and check 'multicore' AND 'Lockstep'. You may also disable/adjust framelimiter (i set to 0/disable). For me this got rid of the loading screen freezes entirely. Hope this helps.
Divinity: Original Sin 2, the eagerly anticipated sequel to the award-winning RPG, is now available on Steam and a lot of players seem to have a lot of fun with the game. #3 Divinity: Original Sin 2 Launch Issues
If your game won't start or if you encounter some errors at the startup like missing some .dll's check the steps below to fix them. Mobogenie for.
1. If the game fails to start, do the usual: check your video driver and update it if necessary.
2. Normally, Steam will install the following by default as you launch the game for the first time. If you don't have these, please find them online at the following locations.
– Visual C++ Redist 2015
Choose 64bit
– .Net 3.5
Choose Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile (Web Installer)
3. If you are having issues with api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll on Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, Microsoft distributes an update to fix this issue.
#4 Divinity: Original Sin 2 Character Stuck
This is a relatively rare issue, which seems to be much rarer than the previous version, but it has still been reported a couple times (there were fixes for this in the last update, but apparently not covering every possible cause).
Saving and reloading should restore control of the character. Saves can be made during combat, so you don't have to flee and return, or get through the fight with just the remaining party members.
#5 Divinity: Original Sin 2 UI/Resolution Issues
If you are encountering resolution or UI issues on a Nvidia card, go to the Nvidia control panel and disable the 3D Stereoscopic option.
#6 Divinity: Original Sin 2 Server Issues
Whenever I try to start the game the message 'Connection to the Larian support server failed. The Larian support tool will be disabled. An exception occurred during a WebClient request. – Error creating the Web Proxy specified in the ‘system.net/defaultProxy' configuration section.'. The game itself launches just fine, but I can't get in the arena and can't play the SP campaign either, it just remains stuck on loading forever.
If you are complaining about connectivity issues, make sure that you checked your antivirus/firewall and that it's not blocking the game. After that, do a general connection troubleshoot. Resetting network adapter also seems to have fixed the issue for some. Sometimes, running the game as admin also resolves these kinds of connectivity issues.
Have Fun playing Divinity: Original Sin 2!

If you have been playing Divinity Original Sin 2 and have recently had an unexpected crash, there's a chance your profile may be affected by ‘Debug_Client_Profile_1' error. It's also possible to get this error if you have tried to launch more than one instance of Divinity from your Steam account. Thankfully fixing the error is quite easy and won't result in your losing your valuable saves.
Video games and bugs are two things that go hand in hand, even after rigorous fine-tuning and beta testing, bugs still sometimes manage to elude developers. Fortunately, on most occasions, developers are quick to fix issues caused by bugs and glitches. Divinity is no exception, with the developers at Larian studios working quickly and efficiently with the community to fix any bug/glitches and errors.
The ‘Debug Client Profile' error in Divinity Original Sin II is quite a unique error and doesn't generally occur during normal game use. In most cases, you will only ever see the error message if your game crashes with exceptionally bad timing or if you are trying to run more than one instance.
For example, I recently received this error when I launched my game after an unexpected crash just after a save point. Admittedly, I was trying to minimize the game and open guides in Chrome and YouTube, which caused the crash. Most importantly, you don't have to worry about your save files being lost, even though your profile has been damaged, your save files are safe and undamaged.

Note:Depending on your user account setup for Windows the location may vary slightly. Basically, you are looking for the Savegames folder in the Divinity Original Sin 2 directory in My Documents.
Once you find the Savegames folder, right-click on it, select Copy, then Paste it into the Player Profile folder with the name you created earlier. If it asks you to overwrite any files, choose Yes. As soon as this is done, you can close the File Explorer window and relaunch Divinity.
When you have the game open, select the new profile you made in the first step, then click Continue. This new profile will load your old save data and you will be back in the same location you last saved. It will also contain all the old save data, including any and all quick/autosaves. This method will work for any and all Debug_client_Profile_ errors, regardless of the number that follows them.
